My 4 hour labor and delivery experience

So what happened? What did your doctor say? We just talked about pre term labor last night at our birthing class. Did they give you a shot? I hope you are okay!

I've been having a few contractions today but not as many. I called my doctor twice and they haven't called me back, so apparently it must not be that major of a concern or you'd think they'd be calling back right away. They did not give me a shot, but said if the contractions didn't stop on their own they probably would need to. They didn't put me on bed rest or anything, it seems strange to me but maybe I'm far enough along that they think everything will be ok, I don't know. I personally am not comfortable having the baby this early, I'm a little worried about the baby's lung maturity. Maybe cause the contractions weren't dialating me they think it's not a major issue, I'm really not sure.
