Gyno Appt/Rant/Answers Needed
I'm a little nervous about approaching a doctor to tell them I want to get pregnant. My question is was there any problems you had when talking with them? Do you think there would be any issues that the doctor would discuss and potentially refuse helping me get pregnant? Like being to young? or still to over weight?
I also have a short rant too:
This month was suppose to be my last month on the Nuva Ring, we planned on TTC in June. Unfortunately this past month I started bleeding 10 days before my period, and went to planned parenthood with my concern and got told that it was just my cycle early. I really know that's not right because I have never gotten my period early and I have been on the Nuva ring for 20 months, and the pill for 36 months prior to that. The doctor told me to put my ring back in and not keep in out for the one week that I'm suppose to, and that should get the bleeding to stop. I'm now on day 23 of bleeding, and 13 days sense I put in the new ring. Nothing and changed, I have had terrible mood swings. The biggest thing that had me so upset is a month before we wanted to start trying I'm having problems, it's heart breaking.
On a good note I'm so thankful to have health ins on May 22 and be able to go to a real good doctor and get things figured out.
Also does anyone have any idea whats going on with me and what would cause this problem?
Thanks again ladies!
Too overweight?! Girl...according to your ticker, if I'm reading it correctly, you're less than 20 pound from goal. I WISH I was that 'too overweight.' Re your age...when you're ready to have a baby is your business, not your drs. Now if you were 16/17 and coming in to him, I'd say he'd have some room to talk...but I assume you're in your early 20s...and it appears you're in a steady relationship...so if this is what you both want and are ready for...you should be fine.
Unless you've TTC before and had trouble, I'd tell you to talk to your dr...but there's really not much s/he can tell you other than to give it a try. Get a book called 'Taking Charge of Your Fertility,' which has a lot of useful infoon how to tell when you're ovulating, etc.
Re the bleeding...I don't know anything about the nuva ring...but talk to your dr and let him know how long the bleeding has been going on and just make sure all's well in the neighborhood. It's possible that your hormones are out of whack just from coming off the ring or from the weight loss?
Good luck on whatever you decide.
