Let's hear your story!
jayson- i had been cramping all day but ignored it because i had been cramping for months... preterm labor yada yada..i was in and out of the shower because it made it feel so much better... the cramping then turned into pressure with each "cramp" and in my good old fashion self just kept ignoring it until i started passing huge golf ball clots... at this time my brother ( then 18 yoa) was begging me to go to the hosp.. but of course i just kept telling him that it was normal and that it was my bloody show LOL.. more showers and cussing at the world i finally gave in and went to the dr... my brother had a brand new accura and im now leaking fluid and bleeding even more.. thank god i had a towel... still in my "this is normal" state of mind... i got to the hosp... my brother ran with the wheel chair to triage... i got to the hosp and i was 10 and crowning.. he was out in 1 min
jaylyn-again in my ignore everything way of life i had been cramping all day ... stayed home from work because i couldnt stop pooping ( thought i was getting the flu) i figured that if castor oil didnt make me go into labor the week before nothing will!.. so off to ikea i went with jayson... cramps got stronger and more frequent but again i ignored them and went on with my life... made dinner ate... the cramps went away... i watched idol and the cramps picked up again... steven and jayson went to bed and i tried.. i cramped and cramped and cramped about 2 mins apart... i figured since i wasnt yelling and rolling around on the floor it wasnt time... so i got in the shower and let the dog out... the shower just made me mad because it wasnt helping the back and i was getting wet ( duh!) so i got out and finally told me self it was time.. i yelled at steven to get jayson dressed and told trixie if she didnt come inside right now im selling her to the chinese place... she came inside... by now steven could tell i was in physical pain and helped me into the car... then i started bleeding those big clots again ... and the we got there...

Liz- I won't bore you with my birth stories- nothing really exciting...long labor that ended in c-section and then another c-section. But I can tell you I remember how i anticipated the arrival of my first...I thought I would die if it didn't come that day (each day I lived that)...I am not the most patient person (like to be orgnaized and everything planned). But- when she finally did arrive...it's like getting the present you have waited for all your life. It's a really indescribable event. I can't wait for you to live those moments- when you realize your a mom. I'm excited for you...It's a feeling that you never want to end- and it won't because then once you get accustom to that idea- then you are amazed at how they become people, and learn so fast. Enjoy!!
With my first daughter, I was due March 27th. I said from the day I found out my due date that I was going to end up with an April Fool's baby...Well, on April 1st hubby and I went to Target to get in some walking, and pick up last minute things. Since it was evening, my mom had made the comment when I talked to her before going to Target, that I wasn't going to have that April Fool's baby. While in the food aisles at Target, I felt a weird rubber band-type snapping in my stomach and then had a contraction different than the ones I had been having (BH or really early labor-I'm not sure). Told hubby I had a contraction that "felt different". He started to freak out a little while I stayed amazingly calm as we checked out to head home. When we got home, we got ready and went to bed because there was not really any pattern to the contractions. At midnight, the alarm on his cell phone went off for some reason (he had never had it set for midnight before!) When I jumped out of bed from it scaring me, my whole mucus plug came out (sorry-TMI) Then I started to feel some contractions. Being that it was April Fool's day, I waited until 12:17 a.m. and then called my mom to say "I purposely waited until after midnight to call you so you didn't think it was an April Fool's joke, but I am in labor). Then, I called the hospital, told them I thought I was in labor, was told to drink water, lay on my left side, and time the contractions for an hour, then call them back. When I called them back, they told me to come in and get checked. I quick took a shower, we dropped stepson off at my brother's and headed to the hospital. They were going to send me home because I was only at a 3 dilated and the contractions weren't unbearable, but baby's heart rate decelerated, so they kept me.
39 hours after starting labor, no epidural for 32 hours of that, 2 hours of pushing, and an emergency c-section, my daughter Sienna was born on April 3rd...
Good thread! I can't wait to read the other stories!

With the trips I was already in the hosptial when I went into active labor (had been there for almost 10 weeks at that point), I knew what was happening but didn't say anything because I really didn't want them to stop my labor again and I knew if I was not at a at least a 3 they would. So I hung out in my room with really heavy contractions and then I told them after about an hour, they checked me and I was a 4, so off we went for my c-section.
With Matty I had been cramping a bit, but nothing big and then he decided to go and stop moving, so they sent me off to L&D for a NST and he passed with flying colors, but they noticed I was having contractions every 2 mins. They tried to slow them down with drugs and fluids but they kept coming, harder and faster and so they whisked me off for my section.

Thanks ladies! It is fun to read your stories - I can't wait to share mine soon!
I was feeling crummy for a while, then the last 2 days I feel great! I am getting tons done, lots of energy etc. Well around lunchtime today I started to feel tired, like all I want to do is nap and I am getting spasms in my back. I have been loosing pieces of mucous for about a week now, no blood with it though.
I have a hunch that it might be this weekend - we'll see!!
