Registries
I blogged about this on my pregnancy blog but was wondering if there are second time moms or even first time moms who've already done their registries.
It is so OVERWHELMING!
I decided to create registries online on Amazon and Babies 'R Us, and there is SO much stuff. I know I need a breast pump, but which style? which brand? double? single? Same thing with every single thing, onesies, pacifiers, bottles, bottle sterilizers ... I think I'll go crazy either buying more than I need or not getting the essentials!

Unfortunately with your first you end up getting way too much stuff! Even though I'm having twins of the opposite gender from my first, i hvae bought a lot less. Of course the essentials, crib, stroller, car seat every baby needs. I would recommend a swing- some babies like them, some don't, but my daughter loved her. We also had a little bouncy chair that she enjoyed- it vibrated and played music with a mirror and toys and stuff. For later, the exersaucer and a high chair are needed. As far as clothes, it really just depends on how much laundry you want to do. With girls I think there are also so many cute outfits I couldn't resist a lot of them, so we had way too many clothes, but again, a girl is a little more expected for that sort of thing I think. As far as how many onesies you'll like/need, a couple of packs in each size should do the trick- I wouldn't get more than three. And when you're registering, my advice would be to put on the larger sizes- you always get a lot of the newborn/0-3 months sizes at showers, but not the bigger sizes. Some of it is also just your preference, especially on styles and the look of certain toys/baby items. You could also try reading about safety and things of that nature too. Often on sites like Amazon I find the reviews people have posted as helpful in feeling out what I might want, even if I then go buy it at a store. I never used a breast pump with my first, and I know that some hurt and everyone has differing opinions on them, so I can't be helpful with that! Good luck navigating the mess! In the end, people really give you what they want to anyway. I've found that not so many people use the registries in the end, because they are confusing all around!

Get your behind TO Babies R Us. They can answer all the questions you have about everything. I had breast pump questions and they were able to answer them. I actually decided against getting one since I will be out for 12 weeks and will ween them before I go back to work. Mostly cause I don't have time at work to pump.
Oh, and don't try to do it all in one day. And don't take the hubby! I was ready to kill mine by the time I said that's enough and went to turn in the scanner. What is with men and guns? Good luck with all this!
