I went in for my 48 hour pregnancy labs were they check my Hcg and my progesterone levels. On Monday my Hcg was 300 and my progesterone was 17.5. On Wednesday my Hcg was 780 and my progestrone dropped to 14.4. My OB had me start progesterone suppositories today. Has this happened to anyone else? Did you do okay? Did the progesterone help increase your levels any? Do you know what your level should be at to sustain a pregnancy? I have been a nervous wreck these last 24 hours. I have PCOS and this is my first pregnancy. My Husband and I have not been able to concieve since May of 2000 when I was diagnosed with PCOS. Thanks for any information, advice, and Thank-you so much for all of the prayers ladies! They have been a great comfort. Teresa

I'm not sure about progesterone dropping but I had low progesterone. Mine was only 6.8 at 4 weeks 3 days. I took 400 mg of progesterone (vaginally) I was on prometrium, until 13 weeks. I'm now 18 weeks tomorrow and I'm having a little girl :) So I would say it worked! Your Hcg looks great!

My progesterone kept dropping every time I was tested so my ob put me on prometrium.  I did it orally and not as a suppository.  I have a very active 14 month old little boy to show for it now.  So it worked for me.  I also had PCOS .

Your betas look super. From what I understand they want your prog. to be over 10 in the first trimester. Here is something I found on american pregnancy.org

Progesterone levels also can have quite a variance at this stage of pregnancy. They can range from 9-47ng/ml in the first trimester, with an average of 12-20ng/ml in the first 5-6 weeks of pregnancy.

Your levels are good! You know the attitude that I have this time is so much different than before. I know I can not change what will be, so I am really trying to enjoy this pregnancy.

Hi- I also have been diagnosed with PCOS (many, many years ago).  DH and I were unable to conceive until I lost a significant amount of weight.  My first pregnancy ended in m/c...I had lots of frustration during those first several weeks (week 4-9 until my m/c).  They didn't run blood work...well- the next time I was pregnant I went to different Dr's who checked my levels immediately and followed me very closely (2 times a week) for a few weeks.  Needless to say my progesterone went lower and lower each time...I supplemented with progesterone injectables (my Dr feels they are the best way).  He never checked my levels after we started supplements...he told me it wouldn't go to high, and that it would be fine- go a day at a time.  Boy was I nervous to stop those supplements.  But I weaned off (for my sake) and I have a beautiful healthy 22 month old girl...same story again...and I have another healthy 6 month old girl.  Keep positive- try hard not to over stress...enjoy the experience of being pregnant and we will send positive thoughts that all goes great.  Oh- the only things were it made me super moody and my behind really hurt from those injections.  I stayed on until about week 14 of my pregnancy.

My Hcg was doubling and I was put on progesterone as a precaution, perfectly ok and we are now 8 weeks along! We had to resort to IUI and thank goodness it took after the first try as we have been trying for over 3 years on our own. Good luck and try not to stress, easier said than done I know LOL
