Major help needed

Hi everyone-  I'm hoping for some advise with my situation. I had gastric bypass end of July 2008 and lost around 110 pounds. At about 7 months I accidently got pregnant. My surgeon advised that I would be released to the care of my obgyn during the time of my pregnancy and breastfeeding there would be nothing he could help me with. My nutritionist would be available to me, however she quit and they did not replace her so I don't have anyone there to go to any long. My little one is now 5 months old and I just found out I'm pregnant again. Not sure how far along as I am breastfeeding and now getting periods (probably around 8 weeks). I'm am going to the obgyn today for an ultrasound appointment so they can tell me how far along I am and do bloodwork. I am taking double prenatal vitamins as well as extra b12, folate, and vitamin c, but I still feel weak and unhealthy. Has anyone been in this situation? My milk supply is dwindling so I think I may be done with breastfeeding quicker than planned. Just thought maybe you guys have more experience or advise you could share with me.

Thanks

I don't have any experience with what you're going through, but would recommend you go see your dr and have him do labs - whether it's your surgeon, your PCP or your OBGYN.  They'll be able to determine if there's one or more vit that's deficient how much to increase it by.

I'm sure you know by now to just do your best eating as healthy as you can.

Congrats and good luck.

I have a friend that the same thing happened to her as far as two close pregnancies. Her doctor told her she had to stop breastfeeding since her body could not support both kids and her. I agree, go get labs done to see what is going on. Good luck and congrats!
