Clomid
Does anyone know how or where to get clomid without going through your OB?
I used it once years ago and conceived my son.
I just had my IUD out early April and worried about conceiving in a certain time frame and I don't know how many cycles I have to go through (after the IUD removal) just to even see if I'm capable of ovulating.
I have a long history of cysts so I never know month to month and I hate the anticipation.
At least with Clomid, I'm upping my chances...any suggestions?
Thanks,
Jessica

I ended up needing Clomid with my first pregnancy. The first month we used it after TTC for a while, it worked. This time around I went straight for the clomid to start- I saw a midwife who mentioned that I may not need it but I told her that it would help, so she prescribed it for me. Of course this pregnancy was after losing 125 lbs, and of course the clomid worked great the first time-double time as I'm nearing 35 weeks with twins. Maybe try someone like a midwife. I'm not saying that you need to lie or anything, but if you're careful with how you word it, you should be able to get a script. After going through all the "rules" the first time, I just told her that we needed it this time too. You may be able to get something without a script, but only if you know someone who lives out of the country. I know in Italy it's easy to get clomid over the counter. I'm not sure about Mexico, but my grandparents went down there for years to get some of the medications my grandmother needed for her cancer. Of course I live out west and it's easier to do that. Good luck finding something. I would be a little wary of internet stuff- it could be considered illegal in some states and you don't know what you're getting. Also, do some research. There may be some herbal remedies that when mixed together do something similar- alternative medicines from a reliable source might work too.
