Protein in my urine

I had my OB appointment today and my blood pressure was normal 120/78 but I had protein in my urine. So she wants me to be on the lookout for swelling, blurry vision, headaches, etc. When I was pregnant before I had high blood pressure with little to no protein in my urine and they induced me at 37 weeks. I forgot to ask her at my appointment but does the protein by itself something to be worried about or does it have to coincide with high blood pressure? I'm just wondering if I will be making it to my scheduled C section date or not. Everything else looks good. She says the baby is probably larger than what the ultrasound showed, but I'm having a C section so I'm fine with that.

 I had protein in my urine while pregnant.  It was only a major concern if my bp went up as well.  

That's what I was thinking since she was having me be on the lookout for preeclampsia side effects.

Yep, what the PP said! Jus****ch out for all the things she said and be sure to call if you feel even a bit funny. Glad everything else is looking good! 

My ankles are already swollen so I guess I should just call if they get bigger than normal or anything else concerning. Glad that the protein by itself is ok.

I still have protein in my urine and no one seems to care, I had it the last few weeks of pregnancy also and no one cared then either.  My blood pressure ONLY shot up when I was informed I was going to be having a c-section.  They ran blood work at 39 weeks and everything came back normal.  Apparently there is a normal range for protein.

I guess I will only worry if my blood pressure goes up then. I always thought that any amount of protein in the urine wasn't good. But I guess it's not enough by itself to be too worrisome.

If you have increased your protein intake you could be in ketosis and simply spilling protein based on the amount of protein you are eating and not necessarily because you have Pre-E or Edema. Just don't skimp on salt; salt to taste; and keep the water flowing.

I've heard about that diet before, thanks for the site. I know I'm not in ketosis though, I've gained 30 lbs and most is baby, but not all of it.

Keep in mind the other little signs of BP spiking... ears ringing our stuffy nose and ears.

While at Costco the other day... I felt my head clog up... and my ears kinda blocked and I had some ringing... Doc said it was likely a spike in BP... take care and take it easy, careful is alway a good motto when you are two!
