Metaformin???

Has anyone been put on metaformin after wls to try to concieve?

Yes due to PCOS...even though I lost weight I still have PCOS....its sucks!

Yes, it was the only thing that would make me have my period.  I took with clomid and it worked.  Also it really helped with my overall eating, etc.  I went off of it at 14 weeks preggo and they intend to put me back on at my six week appt.  Just be sure they don't put you on XR, it doesn't work if you have had RNY (can't speak for other surgeries types).

Thanks for your responces! My doctor wants to start off with Met. and then if that doesnt work I am going to try a fertility specialist. I have to try with my doctor for a year and if I dont get preg after that then insurance will pay for a specialist!!

 I took Metformin for two months then I was pregnant. My OB/GYN also told me to boost my water intake to half my weight in ounces. So if I was 200 lbs, drink 100 oz. It sounds like a lot, but once you do it for 2 or 3 days, it's easier.
