Hello.  Just wanted to stop by and give you some hope.  I was 359 at my heaviest and I never got pregnant before WLS.  I was told from a young age that due to having irregular or no periods that it would be hard for me to conceive.  I got pregnant 8 months after having surgery and losing 162 lbs.  Unfortunately at this point I've had 3 miscarriages and I haven't been able to yet determine why but it's not because of the surgery.  During my last pregnancy I had a severe progesterone dificiency, so I believe that to be the cause of the miscarriages.  I think you should have faith because it can happen!  You will be a mommy one day!  Best of luck to you in the future!

Hi....I was 330 at my heaviest, and was told all my life i had irregular periods because of my weight and would have problems having babies....

well not to add to the pressure but my boyfriend had testicular cancer at age 27 and had an extremely low sperm count and we were both very upset to hear that we would have to use extreme measures to have babies (ivf) if we could at all....

I had weight loss surgery in feb 09....lost 150 or so lbs....whos counting at that point.....and in oct 09 we concieved our lil girl....(im now 7 months pregnant) without any help of drugs....

just a little prayer....and a lot of love.....

Good luck, I hope you have your happy ending...remember God works in amazing ways...just have some faith...and heres a lil baby dust sprinkled your way!!  Its a true blessing!!

I have two ovaries but one tube. I am currently 18 weeks preggo. Not sure if the group at Good Sam (It was Lifestages 6 years ago) is still there or if they have any knowledge of WLS patients but they were wonderful when I was there. Very supportive about my tube removal and hopes of one day haveing a baby.

I shall now be know as Hagatha: Queen of the queens.
