Hi girls! The list is back up. I saw that Chrissy got a bfp this week! Congrats! Have a happy and healthy nine months okay! I think we have a couple of newbies and lurkers out there...how about joining in!

Okay topic of the week. Besides your husband what is your support system? Family? Friends? Let's talk about your outlets for the ttc process.

Some common terms:

TTC - trying to conceive
BFP - big fat positive (positive pregnancy test)
BFN - big fat negative (negative pregnancy test)
CD - the day of your menstrual cycle
O - ovulation
DPO - days past ovulation
LP - luteal phase (time from ovulation to period)
AF - aunt flow ( your period)
PG - pregnant/pregnancy
MC - misscarriage
RE - reproductive endocrinologist
OPK - ovulation prediction kit
CL - coverline ( for those taking their temps to confirm ovulation)
Met - metformin or glucophage ( a diabetes medication sometimes taken to help hormone levels and ovulation)
BD - baby dancing ( having timed intercourse)
DTD - doing the deed
IUI - inter uterine insemination
IVF - in vitro fertilization
PCOS - polycystic ovarian syndrome
POAS - pee on a stick (taking a pregnancy test)
2WW - two week wait...time from ovulation until you can test for pg

Hi there.  You can remove me from the TTC list, we are due around Christmas. 

Hi!  Well, all systems are go for round two.  My period wasn't due till the 10th, but it showed up on the 1st.  It just ended yesterday, so I just started temping this morning, as well as using the 20-day OPK.

Unfortunately for me, I estimate my fertile days will fall between the 21-26... and I will be out of town on business.  So we'll have to have lots of "goodbye" and "hello" BD.  ;)

I'm not expecting to conceive this month since we have conflicting schedules, but you never know.

Hi Shari.  CD26 here.  AF due Sunday.  I don't think we have much of shot this month, we didn't time things well.  This is the first month that we were allowed to try after the miscarriage.  As for my support system, YOU GUYS!  Nobody understands like you guys do!  Have a nice week all.

Thanks for the prayers, surgery on Friday.  Support is hubby, and mom, not really in the mood to hear anyone else tell me how crazy I am to think about starting over at my age.  so at this point it's a need to know basis.   Happy Mothers Day ladies

Tested again this AM......BFN.  I"m okay though!  One intersting tidbit of info, my family dr asked me last week if I had ever had my Vit D level checked...and I had not.  So, he checked it.  It was very low.  When he called I asked what all a low vit d level could cause and he listed fatigue, and get this INFERTILITY>   I googled it, and found that a lot of people TTC are low in Vit D and it affects hormone levels!  He put me on prescription Vit D once a week.  Just thought some of you might want to have yours checked!  I'm hoping this will help (and seeing new gyn on the 19th)

 hey ladies i need advice.... i got what appears to be my period on 3dpo i thought maybe it could be implantation blood but its gone on for 2 days now and a medium type flow with bright red blood


sorry if this is tmi i'm just really confused as to whats going on.... i shouldnt have started AF until the 19th of may and i know my ovulation was positive cause i used the digital one that gives a smiley face and i got the positive on may3rd and FF predicted may5th as O day 

has anyone had this happened or know of any reason why i would be bleeding so soon  after ovulation i'm so sad and feel like i have no idea how to track my cycles because theres no consistence with them...

I'm on CD33 almost 3 weeks after Tubal Reversal surgery.  I normally have a 26-28 day cycle.  I was due to O the day of surgery.  There were a few days of post-surgical vaginal bleeding, so no wonder my cycle's messed up.  I've had 3 BFN's but still see no sign of AF coming.  From what I've read on other forums, this is common.

I've never wish for AF so badly so I could start round 1 of TTC!! 

I'm now on CD2!
