Intense pain in *ahem* butt cheek?

I am getting an intense stabbing pain in the right side of my butt. My chiropractor says this has to do with my pelvis tilting and putting pressure on my nerve. Did anyone else have this pain at all? I have skin hanging below my "baby belly" and I'm wondering if this is the culprit? I am planning on a tummy tuck after I'm done having babies. I just wanted to see if anyone else had this problem too and had luck with treatment? The chiropractor doesn't help much, I do Tylenol, ice packs and stretches and I am going on day 6 of pain (it spasms and it feels like a hot poker is being stabbed in my butt).
Background: RNY in July 2005, 180 pounds of loss at my lowest, I've gained 7 pounds since before pregnancy,  I'm 36, first pregnanacy, 26 weeks and 5 days pregnant.

I joke and say this baby is already a pain in my butt, however this humor does not help the pain and I'm trying not to get discuraged.

Sorry this got so long and I appreciate any help at all.

Ahh yes sciatica pain. You are doing everything that will help. If he ice isn't doing it you can try heat for short periods of time not too hot of course. IT is probably the way that the baby is laying. Try getting on your hands and knees on the floor, stick you butt in the air (make your head lower) and rock back and forth, that might coax the baby off of the nerve.

I have had this off and on the entire pregnancy. Right now it just feels like my right leg is going to become detached! lol

Oh and keep going to the chiro - it WILL help! Especially later on. Also if you have a hubby / BF / SO ask them to rub it - yes you will get a strange look when you ask them to rub your butt but it really helps. Have them apply pressure to the exact point when it hurts, that helps too.

Hope that you feel better!

Thank you Liz! My hubby does massage it when I ask (he doesn't mind) but I get little to no relief from this besides it feeling good at the time (I'll have him try the pressure). I have tried the cat/cow stretches and putting one leg on top of the other and leaning forward but I haven't tried the one you described. Here's to hoping that it helps. I really appreciate the feedback!

Oh and if he isn't around try sitting and leaning against / on a tennis ball. My hubby works 2nd shift so I have to improvise a lot
