Just a quick question

I'm having a scheduled C section so are they still going to do the group B strep test? I can ask my doctor, but I don't see her until next week and I'm not sure if they'd be doing it then or not. I'd be 34 weeks. I just don't want to be caught off guard. I like to know when I need to be naked or not.

My ob did one at 36 weeks but I can't remember for certain if we had decided then or not to go ahead with the c-section. I believe we had already scheduled it but can't remember for sure.  Sorry I can't be any help.

yes they will do it. i also had a scheduled c section and they did it.. sorry. but remember it will be over fast....

Yeah, it's not my favorite thing to have done, but I just like to be prepared.

They still gave me the antibiotics after they knew I was having a c-section so they prob will.

I didn't know that. I figured if it was a C section they wouldn't need it.

I'm always so excited and terrified at the same time to read the posts here....LOL

How do they perform this test - dare I ask?

It's just a quick swab of the vagina and rectum but I just want to be mentally prepared before I get something like that done.
