I should just move into l&d
Had to go in once again. Ive been having contractions since about 5am. They hurt, but are not changing my cervix, and they did some test that when negative is 99 percent accurate in predicting preterm labor, and it was neg, so they sent me home. Told me to keep up the bedrest. She said that sometimes the uterus can get aggrivated and contract without it being actual labor, and it could actually be contracting to try and get rid of the blood in the uterus from the blood clot, and that can be painfull as well. She kept poking the scar from my surgery (mine is very large and keloided) and said that the baby is gaining weight rapidly now, and it is a possibility that the scar tissue is causing pain as well, that the way its pulling on the scar can be causing problems too, along with the pubic syphysis she knows that im im alot of pain. I wont take the pain medicine because I just dont want to put that into my baby, so Ive been home several hours and resting, but I just feel down. It has been one thing after the other. She did say the contracting should stop within the next day or so... I hope shes right. I just dont feel right.
Sorry to vent. Just needing some support.

I hope that you get a break here soon!!
I would be reluctant to take the meds but if the OB is saying that they are OK I think I would go for it. You being in pain is making you tense and could potentially make you contract more. You need to let your body rest, recuperate and relax - that's what's best for the baby!
Hang in there hun *hugs*

I understand about the painful contractions- I am having the same issue, but they aren't changing the cervix yet. I try a heating pad on low when they get really bad, because your muscles are going to be sore for a while after! The warm bath will stop them too eventually, usually after I've gotten out and am lying down again. I try not to do pain meds, although I know I get really anxious when they start up and that probably makes things worse. Lately I've been trying to just relax more. They do stop. Good luck! This has been such a rotten pregnancy for you. I hope that you make it to full term and that everything is fine.
