Hi everyone.. I'm going to start keeping a food diary and I was wondering if anyone have a food diary they could share with me... I'm trying to decide how detailed I should be...

What works for you? What keeps you honest?

Thanks :)

When I was tracking my protein I really liked The Daily Plate.com through Livestrong.  It was super neat.

I get a log from my trainer and fill it in.   I will scan it and see if I can send it to you via e-mail so you can see what it is.

Having to turn it in to him weekly keeps me on track for sure!  Plus I would feel massive guilt if I cheated on my diet.

As far as the detail, I write down every last bite of food I have.   If I have two bites of something, I write it down.   That also keeps me on track.

I eat 3 meals plus two snacks per day.  After lunch, I stop eating carbs and I eat protein with every meal (and snacks).  So far it's working.   It's slow coming off, but my trainer doesn't want me losing more than 2 pounds a week.   I disagree, lol.

Thanks Julie that would help [email protected]

I give you a lot of credit getting up so early and hitting the gym... I can't imagine how tired you must be. I really think it would help to turn my journals into someone. That would totally keep me honest and accountable.
