Crib recalls... a year later!! Ugh

Well, with all of the crib recalls coming out, sure enough my daughter's has been recalled!! She is 18 months old. The store will take it back and issue a store credit. I'm really not that upset about it, but it was a 4-in-1 convertible bed, so we could have used it for awhile. Anyway, I've been looking at toddler beds online and was curious if any of you were using one? I think the Princess ones are cute, but it's made out of that hard plastic?? I'm iffy about that... and it does look cheap. I can't afford to spend an arm and leg and we are very limited on space seems how she sleeps in my room. Anyone have any feedback on the hard plastic toddler beds? I'm also looking at the sleigh wooden beds that are better looking? Thoughts would be greatly appreciated!!!

Why don't you check out Craigslist.com?  We got our daughters toddler bed there.  Someone was giving it away for free.  It is the country cottage one.  I have seen the princess ones, wooden ones, metal ones... just check in your area.  Most are in excellent condition and much cheaper than if you were to get it at the store brand new.

i like the wooden beds better... that way if your kids share a room at some point its not so girly or boyish.. but like she said check craigs list...

Thanks for the tip. I have contacted a few people on craigslist about their toddler beds. Hopefully they'll write back soon because I'll be taking her bed apart tmr.
