Updates from a new mommy! more pics!

Hello ladies!!  I cannot thank you all enough for the support and lovely comments on Sage's birth story!

We all came home yesterday!  It was a little bit stressful at first just because you can never be 100% prepared when the baby comes home.  We had to unpack everything and get everything settled, I needed pain meds and we were both starving.  Things calmed down alot though, however I knew as soon as I was home with out Dr's and nurses all around I would get paranoid.  I thought she was breathing weird, but it was because I have been supplementing with formula until all my milk comes in, and the formula made her a little flemmy, but mommy panicked of course! 

We had dinner, and my sister and her boyfriend held the baby a while before we went to sleep.  We put her down at around 11.  Woke up at 3, breastfed then went back to sleep.  Woke up at 5, formula fed, pooped diaper.  Sleep again, then woke back up at 8:30 with a poopy diaper and fed again.  Now she is asleep again!  All night she never cried, just fussed, and mommy FINALLYYYYY got some real sleep, and not hospital sleep.

I am completely and totally in love.  I never thought I could feel this way about anyone.  She is so awesome.  She loves her bassinet and her swaddler blanket.  She is way too tiny for newborn outfits so grandma went out and bought her a few preemie things.  Russell's mother is coming down for a few days from PA, so we can get some errands done today. 

I get my staples taken tomorrow and Sage has her first ped appt on Tuesday!  Hopefully next week we will be taking a trip to PA to see the rest of Russell's family.

How's Daddy holding up?

Russ is doing GREAT!  It sucks though because he only gets sick like once every 5 years, and of course he is sick now, I think its a cold.  So he's been hand sanitizing and taking cold meds, but there is honestly no way to keep him from contact with the baby so we are just being extra careful.  Plus with me breast feedings it helps build up her immunity.

AWw I guess being run down got to him. I hope that he feels better soon and Sage doesn't catch it! But you are right - can't keep him from her.

She does look just like your baby pictures!! How cute! I'm glad you got some sleep. My daughter was up every 1 1/2 hours, sounds like yours sleeps well. that's nice. Hopefully this one will sleep like your daughter does!
