Isabella is here...
So, as you guys know, after going breech on Monday, she switched back around to head-down, sunny side up of course. So, on Tuesday at 930 am, the doc started our labor with pitocin. We didnt need the cervidil or cytotec according to the OB as we already were 2cm and 70% effaced. So we started on the horrible pitocin w/o the epidural b/c I was trying to get as far as possible w/o it. Soo....I went until 2pm and then got the epidural and it was great until 6pm when it wore off....completely. They swore up & down that it was my med tolerance and that it just didnt take. So I went from 6pm to 11:45pm with NO MEDS and only progressed during about 15 hours of labor to 4cm. Bella could not seem to drop below -1 pelvic station either, so at 11:50pm the doc called a c-section because he felt she would not fit thru the pelvis which is why she didnt descend.
The OB is the one that figured out why the epi didn't work. Count it, 6 anethiosolgy people came in the room and kept trying to fix it to no avail. The OB figured out at 11:50 that it wasn't even placed right and the meds were leaking into the tape! Those contractions were so horrible, and I am not a yeller, but by the end of it, I WAS!
WE did have some scares as well. When they broke my water, she had meconium. And during labor, around 7:30pm, when they were rolling me over to the other side, her heartrate dropped as low as 90 and thankfully the doc was in. Once they turned me over and put oxygen on me and put some terbutaline on twice for us, she went back up to the 150s and stayed there.
So anyway, after all the drama, we ended up with a c-section and 'Bella was born today, April 28, 2010 at 12:05am. She weighed 7lbs, 12 oz, was 20 and 1/2 half inches long and had apgar scores of 8, 9. She is beautiful. And is breastfeeding like a champ right now. Posting some pics below....

I've been thinking about you while I've been sitting in the hospital. Someday we'll have to compare induction and epidural stories because neither went well for me either!
I'm glad Bella is here. She's so pretty...and I can totally relate to how in love you are right now!
