Due dates keep changing?

Hi everyone.

So, I know that estimating a due date from LMP is a rough estimate, and that it's usually best to estimate from an ultrasound. My LMP due date is October 31st. According to my 7 week ultrasound, my due date is November 2nd. According to the one I had yesterday (13 weeks), it's November 4th!  Did your estimated due dates change (by a couple days) with each ultrasound?

My OB never changed the due date as long as the US showed within 4 days of each other.. which yours is doing :)  I know when the further along you are the baby tends to have growth spurts which makes measuring for dating a bit harder :)  One time i measured behind, and the next time I measured ahead. :)

My OB said it's all how the person measures you. I was always within a week of my due date so not problem.

I went back and forth with my due dates.  My original date when we did the 1st sono was May 31st then it changed to June 4th  then after a sono after 20 weeks he was older/bigger than originally planned it went back to May 31st now I am scheduled for a c-section for May 26th- but that could change too!.
So I figure whether I go natural or c-section  it will be anywhere from the last week of May to the 1st week of June.

My due date, figuring from the first day of my LMP was Nov. 10th. But when I went in for my first US at 7 weeks the dr said my due date was "now and forever" Nov. 8th. He said it "will not change - no matter what".

So again, each doctor is different.

My due date changed twice. Once at my 8 weeks ultrasound and once at my 10 week ultrasound. The High Risk OB told me that the best time to judge is around 10 weeks because after that the baby grows at it's own rate. While the LMP date is a good estimate as well it doesn't take into account longer or shorter cycles, late ovulation, late conception etc.

Remember it is all just an estimate anyway!

They will go by the due date given to you at your 1st u/s.....so your REAL due date would be November 2nd. It will not change after that. Baby's measurements fluctuate throughout the pregnancy and baby can measure weeks ahead at any given point or a couple weeks behind at any given point. This does NOT change the due date if you had your due date done in an early ultrasound like you did. Your due date would still be November 2nd no matter how big (or small) baby's measurements are from here forward.
