My induction is scheduled for Sunday night if she doesn't come on her own before then. I'm depressed as hell and soo frustrated. I've been verging on tears ever since I left my OB visit this morning. I've been trying every natural method that's considered relatively safe (various foods, sex, walking, etc). I'm exactly where I was a week ago except bigger and more miserable. DH is willing to do his part to help bring her on her own but I've been doing it every day along with walking for about an hour on the treadmill to no avail.........

Ugh... I'm so disgusted and depressed. I don't want to be induced. Last week my doc said he didn't see anything happening any time soon and my cervix was exactly the same as it is right now. Someone please tell me there's hope to have this baby some time over the next few days?

ETA- I'm aware that pregnancy is for up to 42 weeks... but seeing the big fat ZERO on my ticker is even more depressing.

I hope you go into labor soon and your cervix softens fast! Sometimes I think the docs don't think about the things they say to us. You could easily go into labor on your own and it may not take much time either, this isn't your first pregnancy right?

I hope that things progress for you on their own! How about one of the teas? I have been drinking something called "third trimester tea" it is supposed to help your body relax and prepare itself. I am no expert but I'd say try to relax - cervix is a muscle and if you are relaxed maybe it will too. Maybe warm baths then walking?

I'm thinking like working out a sore back lol I know it's totally different but they are all muscles we are trying to relax right?

Good luck and hang in there!
