Ovulation question please

Okay, so I am TTC and I'm missing some key points.

Y'all are gonna laugh-I know this is so amatuer.

But I had my IUD taken out on 4/8.
I bled from the 10th to the 20th.

What do I count as my next menstrual cycle date? I know you are supposed to count like 28 days...but is that from the last day of your cycle or the 1st day of your cycle.

Just trying to get an idea of when to expect my next period and also when might I ovulate so I can bat my eyes at my hubby at just the right time

The first day of red flow is CD 1 (so, the 10th).� As for when you are going to ovulate, that is a crap shoot since you just had it removed. �Text book is CD 14, but many women O�before or after that. �The only way to tell is to check a bunch of different things like temperature, cervical position/mucous, or to do OPKs.� OPKs will detect your LH�surge.

BUT, since you are just starting out TTC,� I�would say to BD�every other day if you can and most likely you will have your bases covered.� This way is a lot less technical and a lot less scientific and works for many!

So maybe this first month might not be my best guess.

At least we were intimate during my flow and this past Friday (the 24th which is CD 14). So it may still be a possibility but I just won't get my hopes up just yet.
