For anyone who cloth diapers or wants to use a hybrid system...
Just wanted to get the word out that the hybrid diaper system GroBaby is rebranding to GroVia, so EVERY company who carrys GroBaby diapers is clearencing them out. The old GroBaby and the new GroVia diapers will be completely interchangable. So if you are wanting to try CD's, or if you already use the system, just google it. Also, many CD stores are having Earth Day sales, so you can get them up to 50% off in some places.
I don't know if I can share actual links to sales, but If you have any questions just let me know!

So far the cheapest I have found is http://www.earthangelsdiaperco.com/clothdiapers_61/GroBaby.h tm , but she does not have many, so I would snatch them up quick. Its a GREAT price (the shell can be used two or three times before having to be washed, so I just change out the inserts).
The shells only are on sale here -

and sets here -
http://www.thenaturalbabyco.com/product.php?cID=126&pID=1441 (although they are cheaper on the first site I mentioned, she just does not have as big a selection!)
individual snap in soakers -
http://www.thenaturalbabyco.com/product.php?cID=130&pID=1093
and these are the toss away bio inserts -

If you have any questions at all, just let me know!

Thanks, I ordered the last one (blackberry) from the first site. Do you think I should order another set also or just the snap in soakers or toss away? I am not due until Nov. and don't know what I am having for picking the cute designs. Also, I don't know how supportive family will be with me using them but it doesn't hurt to use them also. What do you like best?
Thanks
Jackie
Thanks

If you are going to go with JUST the GroBaby hybrids and are going to diaper say part time, I would keep like two shells on hand (three if you are willing to put the money out) and maybe 6 snap in inserts (or a box or two of the toss aways) to start with (12 if you want to be able to wash every other day). This way you can use them for a day and then do a quick wash, and then you will also get a better idea if you like them or not and can always order more once baby is actually here.
The other thing is that there are SO many other options out there, like All In One's which are basically just like sposies to put on and take off, which will keep family from complaining. I keep these on had (although they are not my personal fave) so that DH can do quick easy changes, and then he just leaves the diaper for me to deal with (exactly like he would a sposie LOL).
I also keep a roll of disposable liners around for when we need to use diaper cream (you can't use diaper cream when using cloth b/c it will make them repel water) and for when we go out so I can just toss them if we have poop so I am not carrying it around. I also find that these are good to have around when you are new to cloth, b/c it makes dealing with diapers a little easier while you are getting the hang of it.
Alot of diaper companies have trial packages that they will send you for a flat rate, then you keep what you like and return the rest. They usually include things like pocket diapers, fitted diapers and covers, AlO (all in ones) and hybrid diapers (gdiapers and gro baby), this way you can try everything and figure out what works for you personally.
I personally don't buy into the whole need for special washing soaps and I just use All free and clear (you don't want to use anything with a scent b/c most of those contain a softener which you can't use with cloth diapers b/c it will make them water proof, and what can you do with a water proof diaper? LOL). I just use half the amount that is suggested for the load of laundry I am doing, so if I am washing my diapers and on the small setting, I use half of what is suggested on the bottle for that size load. I also tend to buy gender neutral patterns because the resale on them seems to be easier.
https://www.franklingoose.com now has all the gro baby stuff on sale for pretty cheap, and they have a $5 flat rate shipping option, so it ends up being a pretty good deal. They also have a trial pack like I was talking about.
Since you have a while to get ready I suggest you research your options, and read up on CDing, it really dose open people's eyes when they really read about the diffrence between using cloth and using sposies.
If you google Diaper Swappers, you will come up with their forums and the women there are a WEALTH of information about CDing!
