Birth Story and a Big Thank you to Shari and Traci
Well Miss Haleigh is now a week and one day old! She is the sweetest baby. Only wakes up once a night and is up to 3oz of formula every 3 hours. She has managed to pee and poop on both Daddy and I, as well as her Pediatrician.
My Birth Story -
I was 39 weeks 1 day on Tuesday April 13th. I had been having headaches and placed a call into my doc and to relax and take it easy and he would see me on Tuesday. Well we went to our appt and after a bone scan and ultrasound it was discovered I would have to have a C-Sec because my pelvic bone was way to Narrow and she would get stuck and they would have to do a emergency C-Sec. They did give us the option of having a natural birth but the odds that they would have had to use forceps or possibly dislocate her shoulders... had us decided to schedule the C-Sec. My doc also stated that I would have been in tons of pain and that it would may have cost me my chance of having more children... Anyways... they called within two hours with the date of April 14th at 8:45am. D and I said good to go.
We called everyone, prepared her nursery and made sure we ate a good dinner on Tuesday. We got to the hospital at 6:45am on Wednesday April 14th, I walked back to surgery at 8:35. I received my spinal (which was a breeze). My mom and D were then allowed into the room... They began surgery, they told me I would feel pressure and the next thing I know she was out at 9:09am.
Haleigh barely cried... infact they had to make her cry... I cried when I heard her. D and my mom watched as they got to clean her up and D cut the cord.
She weighed in at 6lbs 4oz and 18.5lbs. Her Daddy was 6lbs 4oz and 19.5inches long. She was also born on my Uncle's Birthday and he is my god father. He balled, it meant the world to him. He was to fly in from Hong Kong to be there but his flight was delayed because of the volcano... however as soon as he landed on Thursday he was at the hospital.
I'm very much in love with my little girl. Daddy calls her sweet pea, and the nickname is sticking. She is beyond spoiled by aunts uncles and cousins.
Thank you to Shari for being my Angel! Another Thank you to Traci, as she was my back up Angel.
I'm including some pictures.
