Another question from the worry wart Mom-to-be

Wowzers, I think that they are just uncomfortable BH contractions. No rhythm or rhyme to them but a tightening that is uncomfortable. I think that I lost some of the mucous plug last night or maybe it is just a weird discharge - it was mucousy and stringy (sorry TMI) kind of like EWCM that you would see around ovulation. Today I just feel crummy, kind of crampy with these weird uncomfortable tightenings, lower back pressure and some pain. Feels like baby is VERY VERY low. Still squirming around but the movements aren't as strong as they had been weeks ago - more like squirms and rolls (Dr said that this was to be expected and not to worry unless baby wasn't moving). When I walk it feels like there is a watermelon sitting on my pelvis and my legs might come disjointed lol pretty picture eh?

Just looking for some input from the mommies who have been there / done that! Of course if I get to a point when it is painful, there is any pattern to it or I just get worried I'll call the OB's office. I see them on Monday for my GBS test and my first internal.

Thanks ladies!

Oooooo, mama! You're gettting close! All of the things you are saying leads me to believe that your little nugget is preparing you! I am so excited for you! That does sound like MP loss ... but no blood, right? I lost my plug two weeks before Lydia came, so who knows about that. But, the BH are moving that little kiddo right where he/she needs to be! How fun!

Thanks! Nope, no blood and no leaking. I am peeing about every 30 minutes or everytime I stand up though lol the front office at work has got to be tired of seeing me by now. lol

YAY for prep. That means quick easy delivery right?! lol Yes, I like my little world

Sounds like your baby may just have dropped into your pelvis!
Yay for baby!  Also sounds like your body is getting you ready.  Everyone tells me that the mucus plug is unmistakeable but then again, I know folks that had pieces fall out for days and weeks before the baby came...so who knows?

Crampy, weird uncomfortable tightening....sounds like B&H...but the good news?  The crampies start your effacement and dialation.  Bad news?  I still have them.  :(

Try to relax as much as possible when they do your internal. Found out the hard way if you tense up it hurts wayyyy worse.  They are NOT fun, and are WORSE than paps to me.  But...its always worth it when you have progress

Thanks Anne! This was kinda gross. I was in Target lol

Well I know it is early - I've said since day 1 that this baby wasn't waiting until the end of May. May 12th has been in the back of my mind for quite a while now, not sure why. I guess we'll see! I see the OB monday and then have an ultrasound on tuesday.

I sure hope that your little Miss decides she wants out soon!

Sounds like your LO has dropped.  My plug started coming out around 36 weeks, and she's still not here yet.  The cramping, tightening is ALL to familiar to me.  My OB keeps assuring me this is a good thing because it's less work your body will have to do when your actually in labor.  O yea the watermelon in the pelvis thing.  TOTALLY get that.  Feels like there's a bowling ball in my vagina haha.  Your body's getting ready!!  Don't worry it can take a longgg time from now, believe me! LOL
