SO PISSED OFF ABOUT MY GLUCOSE TEST!!!!!!

I went for the Glucose Tolerance Test on Monday and explained the RNY to my OBGYN and they scheduled me to have it done via IV. They drew my blood, gave me an IV, put a big tube of glucose into the IV, and then drew my blood two more times, once 10 minutes after the glucose and another an hour after the glucose. I didnt get sick at all since nothing passed through my pouch. The only downside is all the needles and the glucose makes your arm and shoulder ache.

Try asking for this one if you want to go forward with the test.

That makes me so angry!! My OB no glucola - he will do a blood test at 30 weeks. Its text book - he isn't even familar with RNY - he said did some quick reading and the chapter he read gave him the info above.
