A rant.. Dont know what to do. As of June I have no ob!! Scared!

I ran into the same problem around the same time in my pregnancy as you.  I had issues with the OB I had been with for almost 6 years.  One of the doctors there was not on my good side and the doctor that I loved and was willing to drive 45mins-1hr for was leaving the practice to go to Cleveland.  So I thought... I'll see the one that has an office in my town and is only 5 blocks away.  Well, I sent my records to them (they requested BEFORE I would be seen) and they denied me because I was too high risk for them.  Couldn't go back to the old OB because I left there due to unsatisfactory care.  I took my records to another doctor a little further away than the one in my town, but still delivered at the local hospital.  (I was trying to avoid having to go to the city for delivery)  Anyway, the receptionist didn't see a problem with him taking me when I briefly explained my history.  Low and behold.. nope he wouldn't take me either.  I guess it had more to do with the hospitals capabilities than with the doctor himself. 

So, tried a doc that has a local office, but delivers at the city hospital.  (It's a nice hospital, I delivered my daughter there, but I lived/worked in the city then)  I love this new office.  The staff is wonderful, the Doctors are good, I love the one PA that they have.. she is great.  I'm glad I made the choice.  I was very frustrated and posted it on my facebook... That is where I got a lot of recommendations and I happened to pick one of them from there.

Don't give up hope.  I know it is frustrating and scary, especially at this stage in the game,  Ask around... I hope and pray everything works out for you and you find a great office.
