OT - question about posts and *****

Maybe I'm dense, but why do some of the words in people's posts show asterics (******) in the place of some of the letters? for example, I just read a post about "pizza" and it showed "****a". Took me a second or two to figure that word out!!

it all depends on your screening settings for OH. IF you go under your preferences you can change it. I think it is meant to screen out bad words for minors but well pizza is bad to some I guess! lol

You have your adult content filter on. Go to My Account at the top right, then go to the message board tab and you can turn the adult content filter off and be able to see "adult" words again.

Their adult filter sucks on this site. Just change your settings. I know fo rth elongest time I couldn't figure out why they ***** seperate words. So many people were writting Weigh****chers and it looked like Weigh* ***chers, I figured out they were trying to cover up the word ****! I never thought of that word so much until I cam to this site and kept seeing the damn **** in place of those letters that weren't even forming the word!!!

I can under stand if the letters were together but they just randomly put ***** in place of letters of words that were close together.

Once I changed my settings too, I quit seeing the Weigh* ***chers everywhere and thinking of "that word" LOL
