ack. I have it, and it sucks. Anyone else suffering from this darn thing. It goes down my left leg, I've had my heating pad and it's helped... but it doesn't go away

I still had problems after pregnancy- not everyone does. I went to a chiropractor, and after a few visits the pain is gone. You might try something like that, even now, if it's really bad.

Hey there...I am 33 weeks and I have had the sciatica on my right side almost to the point that I couldn't walk.  I have had disc problems in the past so I went to my back dr and explained how the pain was and he sent me for PT and since I started that the pains have stopped. You may want to see what your OB says about some PT. It cannot hurt.

I had it, and I went to one physical therapy appointment, lots of heat, and rest and it's gone. It took a good 2 weeks to totally go away, but I know I'm one of the lucky ones.
You may want to look for a heating pad that produces moist heat, as opposed to a standard one that is dry heat. The moist ones are more intense, and absolutely more effective, but they are more expensive... something like this: http://www.amazon.com/Moist-Heating-Pads-TheraTherm-Rectangular/dp/B0006NMT5U
