Name game time...

Hey y'all.  Sorry I'm late, had to work today.  

Anywho, like I said last week, I haven't seen any baby name posts lately and those are my favorites.  Soooooo, I decided to make up a new weekly game for this board.  Every week (Sundays), I'll (or somebody else) pick a letter from the alphabet to make up names with.  You can pick a first name alone or do first & middle name combo.  This is just for fun.  Okay???


The letter for this week is "S".


My names are:

Savion Diego  or  Santos Alexander  for a boy 

Savion = savior     Diego = supplanter
Santos = holy / saint     Alexander = defender of the people / defender of men

Sidney Lynn or Sarah Jane  for a girl

Sidney = St. Denys (Dennis) / wide meadow    Lynn = from the lake
Sarah =  princess    Jane = God's gracious gift

I like Sage too.  I would pick Sage - Maren = Herb/prophet - pearl or Sage - Marie = herb/prophet - sea of bitterness

When I was thinking about the boy names Sebastian popped into my head a few times but I couldn't think of a middle name to go with it.  I would prolly use it as the middle name.

Donatello Sebastian / Don Sebastian / Dominick Sebastian / Donnel Sebastian

Sebastian = venerable / respected
Dominick = belonging to God
Donatello = beautiful gift
Donnel = world leader

For a girl:  Scout (yes, from To Kill A Mockingbird)

Do you think name a girl Scout would get her teased?  I just have loved the name since 4th grade when I read that book... I like Jem for a boy too (her brother in the book) but it's too....girly?  (and reminds me of that 80's cartoon - GEM!) Although I think Jem is short for Jerimiah.... which I like. 

Can't wait to see others!

I kinda like Scout, but not as a first name.  More as a middle name or nickname.  I also like Sawyer.

I actually saw on another site that it was a high English form of Sarah. Hubby vetoed both.

For a boy, Hmmmmmmmmm... not sure what I like with S.

I like Siobhan alot, but I have to agree with your hubby on Sariah. It sounds like you're just not saying the whole name of the skin disease psoriasis.
