Substitute for 3 Hour Test?

First off, my bad for never paying attention to these posts in the past.  I did do a search on here before posting this but was hoping for more detailed info.

My doc's passing number for the 1-hour is 130 and lucky me got a 132.  There's no way I can do the 3 hour test because it's 100 grams of sugar and even though I don't dump easily, that's too much for anybody.

I've been given some good advice ie finger *****s after eating for a few weeks or a different 1 hour test.

Has anyone been in this place before?  I am not going to give myself 100 grams of sugar -- that is freakin' insane.

I never did the 1 hr test. My OB and Perinatologist both thought the results would be skewed and not as accurate due to the RNY and although I do not dump very easily at all I did not want to take the chance. I was given a monitor and did 4 sticks a day, one before breakfast and then one after each meal. I did this for a total of two weeks. The monitor actually stored all the results. Then I had a an appointment and they downloaded the data and reviewed it and were able to determine I did not have GD. was not TOO bad. The doctor gave me a coupon for the meter in case insurance did not cover it and I know some doctors *rent* out or lend the monitor. I ended up paying nothing out of pocket with insurance to include the strips and all. Hope this helps.
