FRIDAY TTC POST (baby makin time)
Well, I've been doing my OPK for 10 days. The directions say "begin the test the day after your period ends", so that's what I've been doing. I guess my "fertile dates" are supposed to be from April 21-26, so I'm curious to see if the OPK results confirm my estimate!
So far, there has either been no line, or a very very faint line on the urine stick. I wonder if it will get darker? I told one of my friends and she said she used those and the line was ALWAYS faint. Hmm.

Did you say you have pcos? Take the opk in the evening time and don't drink anything for a couple of hours prior. They are not like pg tests where you use first morning urine. I did the cheapie internet ones and they sucked for me. As soon as I switched to answer brand (walmart 20 for about 17 bucks) I got positives.
I don't believe I have PCOS. I used to have really irregular periods, but since I've lost a bunch of weight, they've regulated. I've never had bad pain or any other symptoms (besides some facial hair, lol). My cycle averages about every 38 days.
I wondered about the time of day to use the OPK, because my encodrinologist told me when I was doing testing at her office to come in as close to 10am as possible because that's when the LSH levels are highest. However, the directions that came with the test said it does not matter what time of day to take it.
It's all so confusing!!! Making babies is HARD! LOL!

I never had pain. The only signs of PCOS I had was irregular periods and then some facial hair. I have seen other women with worse hair than me. I got diagnosed cause they found a cyst on my "ovary" (turned out it was on my tube.) and had to remove it. The gyn took one look at my ovaries and stuck my happy butt on the pill.

I am 7DPO today. Crazy thing is the first day of my last period was January 16th. Then I ovulate on CD84. Yes I said it, CD84. How crazy is that? Once I started walking and exercising I Ovulated. I had sore nipples, and cramping, then got a +OPK.
Thing I don't understand is, I read somewhere that those of us whom have PCOS can get a +opk and not actually realease an egg. Something about a high LH level but LOW progesterone levels or something? But for about 5 months I was temping and doing an OPK and my body always told me when I was ovulating by having sore nipples and feeling the little twinges. But since I'm not temping anymore, I wonder if I'm even actually ovulating? I just don't see how all signs can point to yes, sore nipples, cramping, ewcm & a +opk and not actually ovulate. I asked my obgyn today at my yearly, and she said it's really hard to say. WTH???? So i guess the real only way of actually positivly knowing is to be temping?
