Ok, a carb question

 Hey ladies!

I just wonder if any of you are monitoring your carb intake. Of course we know that baby needs carbs for proper development, but how much? I am taking in between 100-125 grms per day - in high fiber grains and fruit.
I know that weight gain is inevitable, but I have already put on about 20 lbs and I'm only at 24 weeks. So, I have been really paying close attention to my hunger and writing down what I am eating. I am NOT dieting, just cutting out the junk. Anyway, I just wondered if anyone else has info on the carb thing... thanks so much guys!!!

That's right in the range I was told too.

1500-1800 calories
100 grams of carbs (min)
90 grams protein.

i am with ya! :) I was just having this same conversation with myself this morning... I have gained about 15lbs and i am 27 weeks. I am not concerned about the weight gain so much as it is starting to make me think about what i am really eating... sad to admit that i have given in to the junk food junkie :( last night i had a sunday from carvel... even though it makes me feel sick the monster in my head didnt care at the time.... i had a candy bar today.... i guess it is starting to make me think of how i could have had an extra lean cuisine instead of that candy bar... or a big salad a cup of yougart and some fruit insead of that ice cream.... better for me and for baby... so tomorrow i start writing down everything that goes in my mouth and start loging again because i am frightened i will get out of hand and not be able to get back in control once baby comes. I hear ya lady.... its not about diet or loosing weight, but making sure you are eating the right stuff. I havent been logging so i dunno even how much carbs and protein i have gotten in. i stopped for the fear that i would limit myself, but i have found i am loading up on stuff thats just not good for me... Good luck... as long as you are eating good for you carbs i say no worries :)

Im 25 weeks and have gained 16 pounds. Ive been giving in to the cravings too lately. Mcdonalds fries, flaming hot cheetos... But im trying to make sure I eat alot of healthful foods, and lots of protein too, so I dont feel quite as bad when im eating a value fry! :) Glad to know im not alone in worrying though!!

Super proud mommy to Dylan, Owen and Sophia Brianne!

If you guys are worried about having to eat a little more good carbs you can always do a little walking to kind of counter it out a bit. Shari

 Hi Shari,

Yea, I do that now, too... unfortunately, it's not good carbs that are the problem! LOL
