babies update
Hi there! I just wanted to let everyone know that our twins were born April 3, 2010. They were 34 weeks but they have been doing great. Mason Ford Carroll weighed 4 lbs and 16 1/2 inches long. Kendall Grace Carroll weighed 3 lbs 7 oz and was 16 inches long. They are tiny but they are in the special care nursery at MUSC and did not have to go to the NICU. They will be here about another week but they are absolutely perfect! Birth mom did great and signed her rights away to us. It was the hardest thing either one of us had to do because my husband and I have grown so attached to her and hated to see her hurting but she knows that this was the best decision she could make as a mother for them because she can not afford them financially and emotionally she is taking care of her 3 children on her own and knew that she just didn't have enough of herself to give. She is our angel and she will always be a part of our family. I never knew how much love I could feel for 2 babies until they came. My heart is about to explode. I will post pics soon! I now know why God made us wait 10 years and go through everything that we have gone through. Mason and Kendall were meant to be our babies and I am so thankful for them!

Congratulations on the additions to your new family...its simply awesome!!! I think that someone that is wioling to admit that they cannot handle this and gives their baby/babies to someone who can has done the most selfless act possible on this earth. I can't wait to see pics, and I will be praying for peace for birth mom...as I have been there..done that...when I was 16...hardest thing I have ever done..but the best decision I ever made in my life!
