Everything Hurts........

Hi Ladies!

I'm not trying to be a whiner, but everything hurts.  I know things are stretching and moving....I'm 19 weeks.

I have been dealing so much nausea and vomiting all along (and before because of surgery complications), but I am in true pain today.  My right hip bone hurts, my upper abdomen is so much pain (again, not pregnancy, but complication related)  My back is in so much pain.....it kills me to move and for the chronic complication pain that I am in I can't take my pain meds because of the baby.

Just having a miserable day.........and I have another question......is it ok to lay on my right side???

Thanks for listening!

Hugs,

Sandy

I hope that you can get some relief!!! YES you can lay on your right side. The left side is preferred later on so you don't squish the artery but I have to sleep on both sides at night because of chronic lower back issues. Have you tried taking a warm bath? that might help your back some. I also see a chiropractor once a week and she works wonders for my back, hips and neck.

Feel better!

No advice...but I do hope things get better for you, just think of the end result- your little baby!

if you are having a lot of nausea, ask your doctor for anti nausea medication. I had some and it worked wonders.

Thanks everyone!  I do take phenergan and in between Zofran.....neither of which help all that much

Stretching IN a hot bath helps me a lot. If you have a garden tub you can fill it up and stretch around the best you can. I stretch in bed as well. The best stretch seems to be when I get on all fours with a pillow on my tummy and do modified yoga poses. Have your partner massage the areas that hurt right after a warm bath when your muscles are already relaxed.

The pain will come back, but at least it's a little temporary relief.

My doc said I could take lortab for migraines so I assume you could take it for pain (tylenol 3 also I believe) but not regularly. Maybe you could take that when the pain spikes to unbearable levels?
