feeling TOTALLY different, and effects of stress & a little vent
So sunday into monday I started to feel different. I am 34w 4d. Baby had been head down - face back at the last ultrasound the end of March. Sunday afternoon it felt like baby was laying sideways in my belly (think hammock), well last night into today everything feels lower and baby's movements feel totally different. They are all lower and not as strong. I see the OB today at 4:30 and I'll be sure to bring it up. I don't know if baby flipped and is breech now or maybe just lowering and getting ready? Oh and I am feeling pressure on my cervix and quite a bit in my lower back. No contractions, well other then a few BH. Anyone else feel anything similar?
Also - what impact does stress have on bringing on labor? WOrk has been hell the last week. We had one of our best employees quit and a temporary person has come in who completes a trio of people who would love nothing more then for me to quit as well. That isn't happening any time soon. I really do enjoy my job and work for wonderful people. Unfortunately they have a bit of a blind eye to HR issues and we don't have an HR department. It is a small family business. I don't feel like my temp is comitted to what she is going to have to do and I only have a few fridays (the few in April that are left ) and after May 10th to train her. She doesn't seem to want to conform. Neither does this other woman that is here now - she wants to do things her way.
Ugh.
Sorry for venting - just having an emotional day.

Supposedly - from what I've read - relaxing helps promote labor, so I would assume that since stress is the anti-relaxant, it would do the opposite. Just a theory.
I also read that babies can flip around even after they "drop". Every time I go to the doc (since I was about 32 weeks) he says she's head down but sometimes it feels like she's sideways so IDK. No help on that.

Alex was head down until I was 37w. I remember going to that appointment and the Dr feeling his head in place and telling me he was going on vacation for my 38 week appt and I'll be seeing another OB. I went home and enjoyed the weekend and then that sunday night I was in the tub and felt a really odd "stretch" and my stomach got rock hard. Alex flipped, the other OB confirmed it at my 38w appt. and because I have a bicornuate uterus I was scheduled for a csection the following week. Because of my malformation, they said Alex had pretty much zero chance of being able to flip back. I was actually grateful for the CS... since all my family lives 500 miles MINIMUM away and i wanted my mom to be there, it gave me planning time :)
Sorry work is going ****ty. I went out on mat leave early because i couldn't deal with the stress.

Thanks Ladies- Dr didn't say anything about position of the baby but did send me for an NST because of having less movement and lighter movement. NST was perfect - nurses in L&D all think baby is a girl! lol My BP was a little higher then usual but still low in comparison - it was 117/74. In 2 weeks I have my GBS test and my first internal exam. Nurses in L&D said probably another 4 weeks, not sure how they knew that - maybe they were guessing like the girl thing - they are the experts!
I took the tour while I Was there, not much to see - you do everything in the same room and the nursery is right down the hall.
Thanks for all the info!
