37 week appt...no progress...induction scheduled
Sarah, if it makes you feel any better, I was induced with both of my boys and had really good experiences with both...about 7 hours of labor with my first and less than 3 with my second. I know you hear horror stories, but that isn't always the case.
Sending you easy (but progressive!) labor vibes!...Natalie

Everyone is different, woman and baby...With Molly I was almost 2cm for weeks then I went in cause my water broke and 23.5 hrs later and being on pitocin she came..I was at 2cm for most of it so even though I went in on my own my contractions were irregular and i had to have pit. My best advice is sex lots of sex and walking I finally did that and the next day I started leaking and contracting. Oh I was 38wks and she was fine no nicu or anything.
Good luck just take some stuff to do when you get induced! She will be here before you know it :)

Hey Sarah ... I was induced at 42 weeks, and I was in labor for 36 hours ... totally common. A lot of inductions do end in C Sections, but if you are hoping to avoid it, here's my thought ...
- continue to snack. Beef jerkey, smuggled Jamba Juice, nuts, yogurt ... exhaustion is a leading cause of C Section ...
- Drink water as much as you can ... keeping hydrated really helps avoid unneccesary IVs
- Keep your goal in mind ,,, and know that you are capable! :-)
Hope you do well, and also, keep in mind that having a healthy baby and healthy mommy is the ultimate goal, so even if you have to deviate from the plan, know that your baby's health is most important! Can't wait to hear your birth story!
