Okay, so I got this thing in the mail. Finally got a chance to try it late last night. After a minute or two, I was almost certain I heard the baby's heartbeat. I realized I didn't have my watch on, so I reached for my cell phone (for the stop watch). Obviously, I moved. I was never able to find the heartbeat again. (if that's what I heard in the first place). I tried and tried - until my belly hurt and I decided I better quit.

I was in the area straight below my belly button and right between my pelvic bones. Sounds about right for where I'm at? I'm going to try again tomorrow. Give myself a break today. Did anyone else notice that before/after eating or a certain time of day worked better for them? Or any other odd things.

Thanks for suggesting this monitor!!

When I found my bean at 9 weeks it was very low, practically right on my pelvic bone when I found it.  Search there again...you may have more luck next time...And it will be very Fast...you will find your but your beats are much slower than baby's.

My baby is really low. I didn't find it easily until after 12 weeks. Start at the top of your pubic area in the middle and slowly to to the right it left. You will hear yours and then the baby. You gave your major artery that runs there so you will easily find yours. Just go slow and take your time. Next time you are at the doctor, notice where they find it with the doppler. My doctor won't Doppler a patient before 12 weeks due to the worry the patient feels if it can't be found.

I got my doppler at 12 weeks. It always took me FOREVER to find her HB until about 17 weeks. I think it's because she is bigger. Now I find it in like 2.3 seconds. And yes, I was pretty much on my woohoo to hear her HB that early, not right under the belly button, much lower.

Mommy to 2 of the most beauiful little girls in the whole universe and still in love with my hubby of 8 years. LIFE IS GOOD!
