Losing weight after baby

Hi!

My little girl is a year old now. She was conceived 10 months after my VSG when I had already reached my goal weight. After I had her, i lost a ton of weight quickly and seemed on the road back to my goal weight.
Alas, somewhere along the way, I´ve lost my focus. I´m now 10 pounds heavier than I was 6 months after giving birth!!!
I was wondering if any of you have stories to tell about how you dealt with reaching your goal weight the second time around.
Thanks for any comments you might have.

I haven't had my baby yet but when I needed to get back on track before I would do the 5 day pouch test (just google it) and get back to basics - look back at what you did fresh out of surgery. Get back to the rules - protein first, veggies next, fruit and carbs last, move your body and get in your water.

Good luck!

Thanks so much for your comment.
PROTEIN FIRST. That´s my new rule...
I´m following Atkins Diet now and I get full before I can get almost any carbs in.
Good luck with the baby, looks like you´re almost due!!

I got prego 10 months post of too after my RNY. Now cannot for the life of me start to lose weight. I am so depressed. I refuse to go out and buy new clothes just to fit into something.

Good luck.

Hi.
Last sunday I started a really drastic diet. Mainly because I´d been grazing on white carbs and sugars for so long I was totally addicted to carbs.
I did the Atkins Fat Fast (there´s a full explanation in the low carb lapbander forum) for 5 days and that totally got me started into weight loss. I lost 6 lbs in those 5 days and I´ve somewhat eased the restrictions but am consuming no carbs. I´ve lost another 2.5 lbs.
So basically i might end up these two weeks having lost 10 lbs and beating a carb addiction.
I guess this isn´t for everyone, it was really tough to do, but it´s got me jump started and I´ve got drive to continue now that I´ve seen some real results.
Not to mention the fact that I feel my pouch working again. it gets nice and tight after very small portions!
Good luck and do whatever it takes to get you started!
The longer you wait, the harder it is. TRUST ME ON THIS ONE!!
