Increased risk of still birth after GBS?

Has anyone else had their Dr. tell them there is an increased risk of still birth for GBS mothers who go past their due date?  As a result, my Dr. says she won't let me go past my due date and will schedule an induction to prevent that.

However, I've been googling for this information and have found no results.  Has anyone else heard this info?

To me it sounds like some random one time study that was published- I've never heard of it. I don't see how having had RNY would affect stillbirth or not- They are pretty seperate issues. Especially still birth at 40 + weeks. Most Drs don't want you going past your due date anyway, so that isn't a really strange request. I would bet it's just a random study she happened to read about one person's findings. At least she did discuss it with you. Don't worry too much. There are ladies on here who have gone past their due dates and still had very healthy babies.

I think I might have read this once but don't believe it's really a true fact!  I've asked my surgeon what additional risk factors my GBS adds to my pregnancy and he basically said NONE!  In fact, he emphasized that this pregnancy has far fewer risk factors than if I'd gotten pg while morbidly obese.  Don't let your OB scare you into something you don't agree with.  It's your body and your baby ultimately!
