For the mommies of older babies, what are they eating?
Hmm, I think I started it a month or so ago. Initially, he wasn't very effective with it, so I would take out the little valves the made is spill proof and just tip a little into his mouth or leave the valve in and let him chew on it. I started using one by playtex: http://www.playtexbaby.ca/english/tips/cup.html
But I now also use a sippy spout and handles that connects to the Born Free bottles that I use: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000MRK5OC?ie=UTF8&tag=safe alteforba-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeAS IN=B000MRK5OC
Of the two, i actually think the playtex one was the easier to get the hang of.

Mom to two of the cutest boys on earth.
Things have changed SOO much since your grandma had kids.
They´re all different. Mine eats like a grown up since she was 8 months old. No kidding. Full breakfast lunch and dinner whatever we´re eating just smaller portions. I never make her eat, she´s just a hungry little girl.
I´m sure if your little one wanted more food, he´d ask for it.
I´m totally pro letting kids decide whether or not they´re hungry. They´ve got instincts!
Plus, if he´s still breastfeeding so much, he´s certainly getting enough calories.
So I say if he´s gaining weight appropriately, let him eat as he wishes
Best..

Breakfast- cereal- 4.5 oz jar or more if the dry kind mixed with BM and fruit 2nd foods
Lunch- nurses sometimes puffs and juice cup( 1 oz juice 2 water) just to help him poop eaiser he has a little straining problem without some apple juice in the diet
Dinner- a vegi 2nd foods jar and fruit 2nd foods jar
puffs and bm in a cup
He of course nurses all day too!
I use the munchkin and nuby really soft tops and handles, I started giving them to him when he turned 7 months and he has just started to drink before he was just chewing on them and getting the liquid out that way, he has never taken a bottle so he is just learned to suck on the spout, he likes his BM in there too!
