When to start nursery?
We ordered just the furniture and glider. So, we will wait to see what we get at showers. I know we will have three showers (my work has discussed a shower, hubby's work will have a shower (it is what they love to do), and my personal friends will have a shower. We could have one in my hubby's home state but I won't be traveling there in the 3rd trimester. We are traveling there in May at about 27-28 weeks, but I have heard nothing about a shower (plus, it is a little early for a shower).

I was excited and got the crib and changing table at like 10 weeks, then waited for everything else until after we found out the sex, so around 20 weeks we did the registry. I just ordered her dresser last week after my baby shower. So everything is finally coming together and I am just about 32 weeks. Have fun and you'll be fine registering/shopping for your little one now.

As soon as I found out the sex, that's when I started fixing the nursery up. I like to take my time and shop around and pick things out, also I like to take my time in decorating. We're done now and I'm glad cause now I can relax. There are so many other things at this point that need to be done before the baby comes that I wanted to make sure the room was finished early.

I started shortly after I found out the gender. I'm glad I did because at this point in the game I'm NOT in the mood for anything but sitting on my butt... and I've felt that way for several weeks now. I had a few last minute things to do and they've taken me weeks to accomplish because I just can't gather the motivation to do it. I still need to reupholster the ottoman (which will take 20 minutes tops) so it matches the glider but I'm so ill and tired that I just don't feel like it. The room is super cute and I couldn't pay someone to make it look better, but it has taken me every bit of the last 16-17 weeks to get it that way. I just finished the window treatments and hanging stuff on the walls within the last week. Mind you, I did a lot of the room myself (anything made of fabric came from my two hands... from decorative jar lids to the crib to the memory board on the wall and everything inbetween) and I'm super anal about organizing things... but it still takes a lot of effort if you're really doing up your nursery. Now if you're not one of those crazies that shoots for their dream nursery, you could probably stand to wait a month or so.
