New here
Hi everyone. I wanted to introduce myself here. I am 2.5 years post-op and after one year TTC, we were finally successful with our second round of IVF. I am currently 7w3d. The pregnancy started off pretty rough, as I developed severe ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome from the IVF, which caused me to gain 18 lbs (all was fluid in my abdomen) and I had to be hospitalized for a week. Now all is under control, but I am a little concerned because in addition to losing the 18 lbs I gained, I have lost an additional 8 lbs. When I was so full of water, my pouch could not stretch at all and eating was nearly impossible. Doctor and hubby say not to worry. I just want to make sure that the baby is getting everything it needs. Any advice???

Congrats on the pregnancy! IVF is really stressful. It sounds like you had your share of complications from it! Don't worry too much about weight loss right now- the baby is so small it doesn't take much. Some moms lose their whole pregnancy and are fine. You still need to worry th emost about your supplements. Make sure they are monitoring your vitamin levels and that you are taking what you need to take every day. That is more important than eating more so early out. Congrats again! Hope to see mor eof you one the boards.
