My baby girl is here....
Hi Everyone,
Miss Malea Denise was born on March 16 at 3:23 a.m. She weighed in at 6 pounds and 6 ounces and 19 inches. I thought that I was just going in for my 39 week appt, but ended up at the hospital that evening. I told my OB that I really hadn't been feeling well and just kinda strange. My BP was elevated and the baby was full term, so my OB decided to send me to the hospital for an induction. I was in shock and very nervous. I was really thinking that I would be back on my sofa that evening...LOL. Anyways, they started the pitocin at 10:00 p.m. and I was already 1 cm dilated. I was really feeling the contractions at that point. Well, by 11:30 or 12, I was 5 cm. I got the epidural at that point. I never knew how focused I could be. I started having a contraction during the insertion of the epidural and somehow.... I willed it away or blocked out the pain anyway. I have always heard that if you move, you may become paralyzed, so I was very motivated not to move. The nurse checked me again like an hour or so later and I was 8 cms. By the time that my OB got there, I was ready to push. It all went sooooooo fast. When my OB went to check me...my water broke. What seemed like just a few minutes later.....I was holding my baby. I pushed for 4 sets of 3. I just couldn't believe that I was actually holding my beautiful little girl. It just didn't seem real to me. It is definitely real now...LOL. Here are some pics of my baby girl....
