I TOOK THE PREGNANCY TEST
Call your surgeon and your OB.
CONGRATS!!
You will both be OK. You need to add carbs back into your diet like immediately - go get some crackers right now. YOu should get about 100 grams of carbs a day and 90 grams of protein. Eventually you'll need to up your calories by about 300 a day, but this can wait until the 2nd trimester. You may continue to loose weight through the entire pregnancy. My OB is totally OK with this as long as you "have it to loose".
Good luck and keep us posted!

It's all going to be okay, just take some deep breaths! Lots of ladies become pregnant accidentally this early out - some even earlier, and their babies are all healthy.
If you haven't already, contact your surgeon and set up an appointment with your GP so they can refer you to an obstetrician. Also, start taking prenatal vitamins, and the PP is right - you will need to add some carbs back into your diet.
This board is an amazing place for support and answers, I hope you find it to be that way, too!
Don't worry - you aren't alone!

ITS CRAZY BECAUSE I AM ONLY THREE WEEKS ORE THREE WEEKS AND A HALF PREGNANT BUT I HAD A POSITIVE PREGNANCY TEST. I KNOW THAT WHEN I HAD MY FIRST SON I WAS ABOUT AT THIS POINT WHEN I FOUND OUT SO I GUESS ITS OK. THAT WAS SO LONG AGO ABOUT ALMOST 6 YEARS AGO. WHAT ARE GOOD CARBS BECAUSE THE MOST I HAVE IS ABOUT FIVE CRACKERS.

I dont want to say dont listen to anyone but really dont listen to anyone. Everyone is different and everything you read is different. Try to find an OB that has some experience with gastric bypass patients. Maybe see your nutritionist again. I am 8 months and have not gained 1 lb yet. other people gain a lot of weight. in the begingin food was a big problem because i wasnt hungy. little by little just start eating more. i couldnt eat more at meals so i just ate a lot throught the day and it has helped . yes eat more good carbs. but dont worry everything will be fine. i got pregnant 3 months out of surgery. i just had another ultra sound because the dr was concerned that i havent gained any weight and the baby is actually above average with height and weight. he weighs 5lbs already. and i looke like i am maybe 3 months pregnant. so everyone is different just do what feels right for you.
