Im 24 weeks, and the last few days, my coochie just....... hurts.  Its really bad when I walk, the pain mostly at the front. I thought at first maybe a uti, because thats where the pain centers, but it dosent hurt or burn when I go. Just wondering if any of you had this problem around this time? I have an appointment on the 16th, and im sure he'll just say it's the baby getting bigger, but some advice in the meantime would be great :) Thanks in advance

I'm 26 weeks and have been feeling tenderness in my pelvic muscles.  I mentionned it at my OB apt yesterday and was told that it was due to the round ligaments of the pelvis starting to stretch to prepare our bodies for birthing.  Here is a link you might want to look at if you want to learn more about it.. http://www.womenshealthcaretopics.com/roundligamentpain.htm

 Good luck!

im right there with you, i nearly died when i got up too quickly cause i had to pee in the middle of the night, the pain sat me right back down on my butt. Its happening off and on all day but i do find its worse when i get up or change positions too quickly.
Hope everything else is going well for you!

I am 25 weeks along.  My coochie hurts too!  I told my OB at my last appointment, and she checked for a UTI (it wasn't).  She said that she figured it wasn't a UTI anyways, and that the pain is pretty normal.  It is from the pressure/weight of the baby.

Do you notice that if you sit or stand for too long it starts to ache?  And also, when I sit on the toliet, especially the first pee of the morning, my entire perineaum just throbs.  It also feels kinda swollen at times.  =(

3 more months to go, I wonder how much worse it will get!?  lol  Right now, my coochie pain is only a few times per day, and usually gets better if I can get the pressure off of it (by laying down on my side).  I wonder if it will eventually be a 24/7 type of uncomfortableness?

Do you ever itch more than before down there?  I've noticed that my skin seems to get irratated a lot easier, and so it gets really itchy.  But it's not a yeast infection-type itch...  it is not in the same area, and it feels different.  This itch is not painful, just bothersome.

I'll chime in- I am 30 weeks with twins and have had this type of pain since the end of my first trimester-- I'm so swollen down there now I don't recognize anything (TMI). I was given the go ahead to use a little witch hazel. I put some on some toilet paper and wipe the area. It hlps so much with the burning and the pain! I would highly recommend- and it's cheap too. Cheapper than something more medicated like Prep H, which I heard will also work, but a bottle of witch hazel is like $1.69, and I am still on the same bottle after 4 months. Mine is getting really bad- at first the Dr. told me to use a maternity support belt, which I have been doing, and it helped, but at htis point I don't think there is anything to do about the babies- they are so big now that the weight is not hoisted anywhere with the support. I recommend the witch hazel though!
Good luck.
