OB Visit today

Saw the doc for my monthly visit today.. apparently I am currently measuring 30 weeks 4 days gestation right now... a whole 4 weeks bigger than I should be.. but according to his office scale, I've only gained two pounds since my last visit..  I wish he would order another darn u/s so we could see how big munchkin is as of now LOL  And here I was concerned that I wasn't getting enough food in and he'd be "under weight"...! HA!

Your doc may take into account any extra skin that you may have had prior to the pregnancy...and also your weight prior to the pregnancy.  Since I don't know the answer to either of those things, I would assume that he didn't send you for an u/s because he's not concerned at this point. 
Usually, they will do a sono around 34-36 weeks if they are questioning the size of the baby.  This would be the most accurate time to assess whether or not you're in for a big baby!
With my son, I had an u/s at 36 weeks and a repeat at 37 weeks because he seemed to get so big so fast.  He ended up born at 37 weeks weighing in at 8# 3ozs...LOL.

It's ok. I was measuring 36 weeks when I was 28 weeks. They did order an ultrasound though and the baby checked out to be the average size for the gestation. I'm sure you're fine too. If you measure bigger again next time, they probably will order an ultrasound though.
