Do you think your experience being obese helped you cope with late pregnancy?

Absolutely.  I hosted a Mother's Day Brunch for the family (20 people) less than a month before I had Cooper.... I cooked, I decorated, I served.... I was on my feet all day.

I felt great!

When I was 4 days over due with him I went garage saleing for hours and then to an outdoor botanial garden where I was getting down on the ground to take pictures.  People were amazed when I told them I was 9+ months pregnant.

No problems!

I really think it's because I used to carry around 240 more pounds!

Great question!

I think so -

I'm just under 2 weeks from a c-section... and have a small pregnancy waddle - but not too bad... i get tired when i've been going all day - but, don't have much swelling at all and am still more energetic than when i was 160 pounds heavier!  i've gained about 42 pounds and am looking forward to losing those pounds, but it's nothing compared to the obesity!
