My job is so screwed........ (a little language, sorry)

I'm going to try really hard to keep this brief......

My employer hired a complete idiot to do my job while I'm on leave. I knew she was an idiot from day 1. I gathered evidence to prove to them that she's an idiot AND a compulsive liar. Yet they kept her for fear of not being able to find someone else in time (this was about 4 months ago.... and they've known I was pregnant since I found out).

She claims to have all this experience and a degree yadda yadda yadda but the idiot can't follow very precise instructions I've given her. She CLAIMS to be taking excel classes but what she really needs is HOW TO PAY ATTENTION classes because the b#$%^ barely skims over directions before hopping right into the work and effing it all up. I have spent 4 months trying my a$$ off to train her and going behind her fixing her major f ups. I've told my supervisors about it time and time again. There's no denying the fact that she refuses to pay attention or follow directions. She even FELL ASLEEP while I was training her on multiple occasions. And if you haven't guessed as much by this point, she's lazy as hell. Her desk is absolute CHAOS. And have I mentioned that she doesn't do anything correctly!??!

I've got 2 weeks or less left. I've done my job for over 6 years. I love it. I'm the only one in my office who knows how to do it. I'm not part of a group of people who does the same thing. My job is unique and it's going to turn into a pile of **** while I'm out. I get paid to make sure things get done RIGHT... and here this B$%&& comes and messes everything up before I'm even out!

I point out her mistakes and my stupid boss doesn't even tell her she's making them!!!! I've gone above his head but ultimately it's his responsibility to decide whether she stays or goes.... and it's WAAAY too late in the game right now to get rid of her.

So here I si****ching this idiot do all of my work incorrectly. There is no correcting her because it's just a matter of following step by step directions. I wrote it all so clearly that I may as well have used a effing crayon and the #$%^& just won't READ THE ****!!

Nothing she does is 100% correct.... NOTHING. How oh how does she have a job?!!??? I literally could have trained one of the entry-level clerks to do my job better than this. I even told that to my supervisors and practically begged them to transfer a long list of people to her position. Nope. Didn't happen. The position doesn't require a degree or hell even experience, just someone with a reasonable amount of brains.

So yeah.... I've got to just sit here and watch this ***** screw my entire job up while no one does a damn thing about it.

*end rant*

Dude.....I totally feel your pain.  I have been training 2 people for the last month to two months on my job, and they both are total slackers and crybabies.  They wanted something else to do since their workloads were light....I give them work, "its too hard".  "I just won't do it!" and my personal favorite, "the lead pulled me from training".  WTF?  I am almost 37 weeks pregnant and they have yet to do hardly any of the job and when they do, I am constantly having to tell them how detail by minoot(sp) detail.  They arent going to get it!  I told managment that back when they told me who I'd be training.  My job requires REQUIRES analytical skills and common sense...neither has any!  They are so F'ED!  Then I thought we might have a backup plan when all goes to hell in the handbasket, but another girl on our team is also out for at LEAST 6wks and that girl who knows my job pretty well HAS to do her work and her own work.

They are screwed!  I have done 30 hours of overtime over the last two weeks trying to get caught up(because I answer questions all day!) and it still doesnt matter...my reports are over a week behind!  Its not even that bad in open enrollment time periods.  This is gonna be soooo bad!  I am working 12 hours today and almost 9 tomorrow(I dont even work weekends!) just to try and get a little caught up.

Oh well...just wanted you to know...I feel YOUR pain!  On the bright side, doesnt it make you feel smart?
