xposted: Lapband Tightness Postpartum?
I've tried calling my surgeon's office twice now, but I'm not getting a response , so I thought I'd ask here to hear about other people's experiences.
I had a baby about a month ago. Since that time, I haven't been able to eat solid protien without it getting stuck. I was able to get some chopped BBQ somothered in sauce down, but that's the best I can do. I don't have any fill in my band (it slips out of place when filled and was discussing revision with my surgeon when I became pregnant). Is this a normal postpartum thing or something I should be more worried about?

Sounds like a hormonal thing. Give it a few more weeks to let your hormones get back into whack. If you're unfilled, there's nothing they'd be able to do but revise you anyway. It's not like there's anything in there to let out. Until then, eat slider type foods, very soft proteins, protein drinks and stay away from solid proteins. I hope it gets better for you!
It's possible it is hormonal, but since you already know you have a dynamic slip (I had the same problem), I really think you should call your surgeon and get it checked out. I'm guessing you're a nursing mom now, so you really need to be able to get your protein in!

Thanks for the feedback. I finally got a call from my surgeon's office today saying that all of the surgeons are gone to a conference and they'll try to have someone from the office call me tomorrow.
I think it's likely that it's hormonal, but in the past I ignored small signs that something was wrong and I ended up in the ER, so I want to avoid that if at all possible. Also, I vomited during labor, so there a little part of me that worries that the band may have slipped further out of place.
Keep our fingers crossed for me in hopes that it's just hormones and I don't have surgery in my immediate future!
