Can I whine??

I'm two weeks postpartum, have lost 15 lbs of the 25 I gained, and still can't fit in anything but maternity pants!! I'm still swollen from the C-section, so I know it will go away sooner or later, but I want to wear regular clothes! At least I have enough tops that cover up the elastic waistband, I guess....

At least I have a pretty cute reason for being all swollen and bloated!

She is gorgeous!! I hope that you can get the last 10 pounds off quickly and get back into normal pants! That has to be frustrating.

I feel ya, even with no c-section and being only 4 lbs above the weight I was before baby, none of my pants fit right for a long time!! It takes time for the body to bounce back, so take it easy on yourself! A little retail therapy doesn't hurt either!

You really have a pretty cute reason !

Be patient with yourself.  Maybe get some comfortable clothes that aren't maternity temporarily.

Best,

Super cute! I'm preparing myself to wear maternity clothes after birth for awhile too, as much as I really want to be back into my old jeans, I know it takes a while for the stomach to go back down. With my first C section it was all flabby and mushy for awhile, I hated it. But you totally said it, It's all worth it!! You'll get back down soon, sounds like you've already lost quite a bit.

With my son 5 years ago, I weighed 250 lbs after delivery, and I fit pretty quickly back into my regular stuff. I guess I just got used to wearing my size 8's. I'm hitting the resale shops this weekend for some stuff to fit in the meantime. I'd like to lose enough so that my pre-pg stuff is big too, but I'll have to wait and see!

Heck, we both need some new clothes. Miss Kellie is a peanut. She weighed 5lb 14 oz at full term, and all of her clothes are too big! I had to borrow a bunch of preemie clothes from a friend. She can almost wear newborn sizes now, but they are still so roomy on her.

She's beautiful Tiffany! I know you're a proud mama. Even if you were down all the baby weight, you've still got quite a bit of swelling (you know that!) .. give it time .. you'll get to where you want to be in time.
